2.What is the difference between E-glass and C-glass?
E-glass fiber cloth, also known as E-glass, refers to glass fiber with low alkali metal oxide content. The content of alkali metal oxides in the aluminum-glass composition shall not exceed 0.5%. When selecting glass fiber raw yarn, use textile sizing agent (paraffin emulsion), the content of which is not more than 2%. E-glass of R2O content is less than 0.8%, aluminum - borosilicate component. Its chemical stability, electrical insulation and strength are very good. Mainly used as electrical insulation materials, electrical mica products, tire cord, linoleum and glass fiber reinforced materials.
C-glass of R2O in alkali fiber is 11.9% ~ 12.4%, which is a kind of alkali-calcium silicate component. Due to its high alkali content, it cannot be used as electrical insulation material, but its chemical stability and strength are still good. Generally used for latex fabric, woven base cloth, acid filter cloth, window screen materials, etc., can also be used for FRP materials whose electrical properties and strength requirements are not very strict.

5.What are the advantages and disadvantages of fiberglass reinforced plastic?

(2)After fiber glass reinforcement, because of the addition of fiber glass, the mutual movement between the polymer chains of plastic is limited, so the shrinkage rate of reinforced plastic decreases a lot, and the rigidity is greatly improved;
(3)Fiber glass reinforced, reinforced plastic will not stress cracking, at the same time, the impact resistance of plastic improved a lot;
(4)After fiber glass is reinforced, glass fiber is a high-strength material, which greatly improves the strength of plastics, such as tensile strength, compressive strength and bending strength.
